We are fairly new to unit studies. I have a few questions: How do you make sure the children are learning age appropriate academics using unit studies? I have to turn in grades for each subject with my umbrella school. How would you do that if you are using unit studies? Do people use unit studies exclusively?

How do you decide which direction to take in a particular unit study? I love gathering information and researching, but narrowing it down and putting it all together is where I struggle. Also, how do you know what information is age/ grade appropriate for your child? I want to stretch their learning capabilities without frustrating them or me! :)
