I love fall! My favorite fall activity is going to our local orchard. It is out on a country road. There is a big red open-sided apple barn. The orchard itself sits on rolling hills. The orchard has various apple trees, berries, chestnut trees, a pumpkin patch, etc... Picking apples at this orchard is so much fun!

Pumpkin patches, apple orchards, visiting state parks to view the gorgeous foliage.... There are so many fun things to do in the fall!
ReplyDeleteI love fall! My favorite thing to do is go on as many walks as I can anywhere the colors are changing and watching how nature takes its course ... birds, frogs, rabbits, trees and the clouds. I like watching the kids playing in the leaves and just being kids.

ReplyDeleteI love watching the fall colors change. It's so amazing to drive up in the mountains and just see the explosion of colors. We also love going to a pumpkin patch for all the fall activities that are there. This year my 8-year-old grew her own huge pumpkin and she is especially excited to carve it.

My favorite Fall activity is taking my kids picture at the pumpkin patch. I love seeing how they have grown each year next to the familiar scarecrows and corn stalks.

I believe Fall is my most favorite season. The temperatures begin to lower and the air is a bit nippy to go out and put up decorations in the yard. The yard work is needing to be done and doesn't seem to be such a chore. The Fall colors are absolutely beautiful, with the leaves changing colors and family time is going outside and enjoying the season.

Our family visits Apple Hill in the fall. We always bring home boxes of apples and pears, then make use of our crock pot!

We have already made homemade zucchini bread together, as well as a few different desserts as we learn some math facts. God is so good! Blessings, Jackie (thebetancourt6@gmail.com)

Since I grew up where the leaves did not change color I just love to collect leaves with my girls. We glue them onto paper and make different pictures with them.
ReplyDeleteburam1234@gmail.com
I love to get out and see the changing colors. As much as I love the leaves, I do NOT relish the chore of raking them all up.

Fall is my family’s favorite time of year. Our favorite thing to do is to just be outside. So far this year we have visited our favorite apple orchard which was SO fun! We got to visit their petting zoo and go through the bamboo maze! Last weekend we took a field trip to a local state park which is situated amidst rolling hills and when the leaves change it is breathtaking! While we were there we collected leaves for our leaf book and talked about why the leaves change colors. Having your autumn package would enhance the change of seasons so much this year.

Fall is the BEST! Since we live in FL we do not have an overt change of seasons, but the weather gets cooler and less humid. That means lots of afternoon spent outside playing in the backyard, Saturdays at the park, and riding bikes.
ReplyDeleteMomma makes lots of cookies and goodies and some very sweet young men get to enjoy them:)

My favorite fall activity though is our family reunion. It's quite a drive, but a pretty one and we see distant family, eat good homecooked food, we visit a family owned apple orchard and put flowers on my Granny's grave afterward.

We love going for "family drives" through the mountains after church on Sundays in the fall. We don't ever have a specific destination, we just drive and enjoy each other's company, taking in the sights!
ReplyDeleteDustymshell AT hotmail DOT com
There are several favorite fall activities that we love. One of my favorites is driving and taking pictures of the changing season. I love the pictures because I can relive fall all year round by just looking at them. =) We also love to get apples and pears from a local farm and make goodies from them (as well as hay rides and corn mazes). Fall always makes us want to bake (and we do plenty of it!), drink tea or hot apple cider and be outside in the splendor of God's creation!! Only HE could paint the landscape in such beautiful colors!!

I love going camping and sitting out at a campfire in the fall. It is the perfect season for camping.
ReplyDeletekfourman@gmail.com
We have an annual camping trip that is home school moms and their kids. It is near the beach and tide pools. The campground is rather empty by fall, and it is a fantastic time of cooking, bike riding, beach play, learning about the ocean and tides, camp fires, and more!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the comments! My favorite fall memory has to be the times that we went camping with the whole family in the autumn. The campgrounds would be empty and we had so much fun!
