Children are born with amazing curiosity and wonder. Once they begin "school", the "standard" education model focuses on uniform instruction and memorization, silencing the wonder and awe that is God-given in every child.
As parents, we have the opportunity to nurture these qualities and encourage their interests. Take this day and run with it. Savor the moments, do the necessary, and make the time to help them explore and find answers to their questions.
We've got a very special sale this week, focusing on LIFE! Taking our most popular life science unit studies, we've created a curiosity-encouraging, awesome wonder-building group of learning adventures for you and your crew. Enjoy the savings!

Definitely insects are a popular topic. I have four boys so anything creepy crawly and gross are in.
ReplyDeleteThe 5 senses was next on our list to study and the kids will definitely love this unit study!
ReplyDeleteThe Brain would be interesting, but astronomy is what he is into right now.
ReplyDeleteHave several of your Unit studies and just love it! Would love to win some books for our hs library.
ReplyDeleteOops forgot to add, we love the insect units and also the Geography. Actually there is too many too choose from and don't forget the human body one's :)
DeleteWith 4 different children going in 4 different directions it is hard to pick just one! But that is the beauty of homeschool...we don't have to:)
ReplyDeleteInsects are what's interesting to my son at the moment.
ReplyDeleteThese all sound so interesting. I think the kids would be interested in any of them. But I think insects would definitely be at the top of the list.
ReplyDeleteRight now - insects.
ReplyDeleteI have one who would love insects...but there is a lovely princess who would be very excited!
ReplyDeleteWe did the insect unit study back in April, and my kids still go out and look for interesting insects for us to identify all the time! We've been slowly working our way through the seashell unit study, but I'm hearing that my kids are wanting to learn about horses next :-)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter would love insects and princesses
ReplyDeleteMy girls love to learn about anything, really. If I had to pick one of those three topics, though, it would probably have to be princesses.
ReplyDeleteMy girls would LOVE learning about real princesses. My oldest is interested in learning about all sorts of things while my 2nd daughter is mainly focused on anything girly and princessy. Next up for us is the Creative Composer's unit study. They're pretty excited about that one since they love dancing to classical music.
ReplyDeleteAll the above. They want to learn about everything. Volcano's is our current unit study topic. Next I think it will be bugs.
ReplyDeleteinsects
ReplyDeleteMy oldest lives learning about wolves. The grey wolf in particular. Tigers come in a close second.
ReplyDeleteShe loves all animals big and small!!
ReplyDeleteInsects and Dolphins are on our list for this school year. We can't wait to get started today!
ReplyDeleteWe have been studying habitats and will be shortly studying the ocean soon so the Dolphin study would fit right in although it would be interesting to study the tigers although we have finished the rainforest already. Either one sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are interested in learning about any animal and herbs/gardens. - Karolyn
ReplyDeleteMy children love learning about animals and different countries.
ReplyDeleteShe loves to learn about aquatic animals the most but I would say rockets would be a huge interest too.
ReplyDeleteWe are excited to delve into USAB this week. Up first is Davy Crockett before our trip to Tennessee! Tremendous Trees will "Fall" into place soon after as we change seasons! We are excited!
ReplyDeleteInsects or dolphins are topics of high interest here
ReplyDeleteThe Titanic for my aspie. Any vehicles. The 6 yo wants me to teach him a class about vehicles through the ages! Wish me luck with that one!
ReplyDeleteDepends on which child you ask--one would love rockets, the other, princess. You guessed it--one boy, one girl!
ReplyDeleteChina & Germany are on my son's list.
ReplyDeleteRobots & horses!
ReplyDeleteWe are planning to study the ocean, whales, dolphins, and many more. I have many of your unit studies. We have been collecting lots of books about animals in our Library. This would be great.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt about it--rockets are it!
ReplyDeleteof the ones listed, rockets, for sure. But in general, they are both pretty obsessed with knights & castles right now.
ReplyDeleteInsects!!
ReplyDeleteMy six year old son would probably be most interested in rockets and space in general. Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeletemy girls love to learn about anything especially fact based and records. So any of those topics would be of interest to them. Especially a princess in a rocket ship performing brain surgery with pet insects.
ReplyDeleteWe just finished the Ocean's Unit and it was fantastic. We had so much fun learning about all the different animals that live in the ocean. We also read books about it and watch some Planet Earth DVDs and it all fit together just perfectly.
ReplyDeleteMy boys just finished an insect unit so they would love to learn more about rockets and robots.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the great giveaway opportunity!

#1 (of 4 kids) is DYING to do the trains unit (we have it, but are putting it off till later). #2 and #3 said they want to learn about "EVERYTHING!" #2 will probably be fascinated with Africa, while #3 will love anything that involves coloring. #4 is just happy crawling around and getting into her brothers' stuff!
ReplyDeleteSpace!
ReplyDeleteInsects but also very interested in the human body so I think he would love learning about the brain.
ReplyDeleteInsects! Blessings and thank you for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Princesses!
ReplyDeleteThe life cycle of the butterfly, horses (Grammie has a horse farm!) and the solar system. it changes from day to day but those remain at the top. :)
ReplyDeleteMy daughter loves her little Gecko so definitely the Gecko one!
ReplyDeleteAnything with LEGOS!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter absolutely loved the Gardens and Patriotic Holidays studies; unfortunately her camera died in the middle of Digital Photography!
ReplyDeleteI think the insects and horses would be the biggest hit around here. Although I'm sure they'd enjoy them all.
ReplyDeleteAll look great, I would love a free download to see if these products are ones I would spend to purchase, scared to try withouta sample

My son actually hates to learn. But thanks to your unit study he has shown a new interest in doing school work. Thank you so much for giving him a little taste of the love of learning. Anything Space or Rock oriented he loves. In fact, we are using your Cavernous caves and taking him to see some real live caves so he can use his knowledge.
ReplyDeleteMy kids are fascinated by space.
ReplyDeleteI would say rockets or insects between the choices you gave. I have girls and boys but one of the girls loves sciences a do my boys.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
Lori
My kids love insects! They are always out in the backyard finding little creatures.
